This casement window had significant deterioration along the bottom rail of the sash. Moisture intrusion caused the wood to soften and crack, making the window difficult to operate and putting stress on the crank hardware.
We removed the damaged wood, rebuilt the bottom section of the sash with rot-resistant materials, and ensured proper alignment with the operating hardware. After sealing and refinishing, the window now opens smoothly and is protected from further moisture damage.
